"a weathered piece of the American dream"

I found this guy in the forest I showed you in a previous post, and of course, the first thought that crossed my mind was: "I'm gonna take him with me". So I did, I got him up on the boat, then in a box, up in the car, and to the cleaning station, then home, then on the beach to rest a bit..
The mystic inside me and the attraction for the tribal culture got me searching up the internet, what is the meaning of the COW BULL/SKULL. I do remember seeing it a few times through different stances..
I found out that Native American Elders passed the stories of the Indian tribes, having the buffalo/bull/cow skull as a sign of bravery and strength. The animal represents a proud beast that protects his family and will not back down from a fight. They will give their lives for their loved ones.
Another story, a bit similar, was having the cow skull as a sacred symbol. They were praising it, making songs and dances to deify it. The Native Americans were considering it HOLY, a genuine symbol of their strength, courage and wisdom, and of course, of the American West.

The cow skull was taken up by artists from the 20th century as well, such as:
- the American artist Georgia O'Keeffe, with his veritable icon of the American West: Cow's Skull: Red, White, and Blue (1931);
- or Pablo Picasso with his cubic painting: Still Life with Steer's Skull (1908).

 I assume you can tell which one is which :)

I was wearing random rings and metallic bracelets, a Bijou Brigitte necklace which I adore! H&M leather pants and a vintage top.

Thank you Kassandra Stefanou for the pictures. I adore you !

Y'all have a good one,
Ecaterina,
